Opening of procedure for renewing Presidency of Finance Ministers of euro area countries

On Thursday 19 June, the Eurogroup began the process of renewing its Presidency, with its current President, Paschal Donohoe, standing for a third two-and-a-half-year term.

Any minister wishing to stand as a candidate will be able to do so until Friday 27 June, with a view to a possible election at the Eurogroup meeting on Monday 7 July.
