EU Court of Justice asked to uphold €4.12 billion fine imposed on Google for abuse of dominant position

Advocate General Juliane Kokott proposed that the Court of Justice of the European Union should dismiss Google’ s appeal against a judgment of the General Court of the EU (Case T-604/18 - see EUROPE B13201A16) in September 2022 upholding a fine of €4.12 billion imposed by the European Commission in 2018 (see EUROPE B12065A1) on the US digital giant for abuse of a dominant position in favour of its general search app ‘Google Search’ (Case C-738/22 P).
