New European vaccine platform to improve health preparedness in EU

22/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 22 May, the European Union inaugurated the European Vaccine Hub (EVH) in Siena, Italy, which aims to strengthen the EU’s preparedness against pandemics. Supported by the Commission’s Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) through the EU4Health programme (up to €102 million), this consortium of European players aims to accelerate the development of vaccines less than four months after the identification of a pathogen....
