MEPs approve conclusion of new fisheries agreement with Greenland

On Wednesday, 21 May, the European Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries recommended (23 votes in favour, one against, and two abstentions) the conclusion of the new fisheries agreement between the EU and Greenland—the rapporteur for which is Emma Fourreau (The Left, French).

Under the draft 2025–2030 protocol for the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the EU and Greenland, the EU will pay €17.3 million a year for access to Greenland’s fisheries resources...
