Brussels, 07/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - Out of 14,670 candidates running for the 732 seats in European elections this week, 35.13% (5,153) are women and 64,87% (9,517) are men (we recall that the number of seats is reduced in these elections, after having been 788 in May, to take in the representatives/observers of the ten new Member States).
