Brussels, 07/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - Further to the notification of a planned merger, on the creation of the Lucien Barrière group, by the companies Accor/Colony and the Barrière-Desseigne family (see EUROPE of 23 January 2004, p.18), the European Commission's inquiry has shown that for two of the markets in France which are principally involved by this operation- the acquisition of casino licences and the hotel market- competition will not be significantly affected.
