Member States call on Commission not to give way on agriculture during Buenos Aires talks

Brussels, 07/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The trade advisers of EU Member States (Committee 133) called on the European Commission on Friday last not to make any additional concessions in agriculture for Mercosur countries (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay), unless the latter agree to considerably improve their offer in the services, public procurement and investment sectors. Negotiations on conclusion of the free trade agreement between the two blocs resumed on Monday in Buenos Aires...
