The Swedish retailer H&M- HENNES & MAURITZ is to buy the ten shops in Germany of American's GAP, and bring them under its own ensign. Germany is already the main market for the Swedish group, with 239 stores representing 29% (or 1.8 billion EUR in turnover) of its turnover for the financial year 2002-2003.
