06/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has once again renewed the suspension of free access o the Community market for sugar originating in Serbia and Montenegro. It has thus extended, for the second time, measures taken in April 2003 to penalise fraud in the sugar sector, committed in the western Balkans. Sugar from Serbia and Montenegro remains subject to the EU's common external tariff. The Commission's regulation enters into force on 8 February.
