Brussels, 06/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the Swedish government announced its decision to take action against the European Commission at the European Court of Justice for its decision last December to authorise the prolonged use of paraquat in the EU.
Sweden, which banned this herbicide in 1983, trusts that the Court will cancel its decision to add paraquat to the list of active substances authorised in the EU under Directive 91/414/EC.
