06/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Italian minister for agriculture is requesting that the extra-virgin olive oil "Terre Tarentine" is registered on the Community list of protected designation of origin (PDO). The area for producing and processing these olives includes the territory incorporating the province of Taranto. This request is published in the Official Journal C 31 on 5 February.
