Commission takes before the Court of Justice its dispute with Italy over certain aid to employment which it believes should be recovered

Brussels, 30/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to take before the Court of Justice its dispute with Italy over certain types of aid to employment that it regarded as illegal and which, following its decision, should be recovered from the beneficiaries. The Commission does not dispute the Italian scheme itself, but the fact that it is implemented in certain cases without respecting the essential condition that is the creation of new jobs.
