The Italian treasury increased its stake by 16.16% in BANCO DI NAPOLI through the public tender offering of SANPAOLO IMI. Let us recall, SANPAOLO IMI acquired 56% of the capital from the BANCA NATIONALE DEL LAVORO and from the insurer INA and made a public tender offering for the remainder. See EI of 8 November.
