ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

Dutch bank ABN AMRO and Italian insurance firm TORO ASSICURAZIONI (Italian group FIAT) have strengthened their stake in the capital of BANCA DI ROMA. Both companies have disbursed EUR 45.4 million for the acquisition of 32.8 million shares of the Rome bank, representing 0.6% of the capital. They thus both increase their share to 10.21%.
