Before end of the year, European Commission intends approving new rules for managing and controlling Structural Funds, introducing possibility of recovering credits that Member States do not use correctly

Brussels, 14/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - As EUROPE mentioned briefly, the European Commission this week drew up two draft regulations aimed at improving and strengthening the financial management and control of spending relating to the Structural Funds, and which introduces a "financial correction" mechanism by which the Commission can recover, in part or in full, credits that Member States use incorrectly.
