14/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the Welsh water and electricity company Hyder by Western Power Distribution Ltd, as "the deal poses no overlaps, raising no risk of the creation of a dominant position". EUROPE will return to this operation in more detail.
