The British travel agent AIRTOURS (taxable profit of GBP 156.5 million for the last financial year) is on the verge of concluding several operations: i) the complete take over of the deficit suffering German tour operator FROSCH TOURISTIK (turnover of DM 1.75 billion in 1998/1999 with more than 1.9 million passengers) with the acquisition, for GBP 25.4 million, the 64.08% of capital that it still did not own, ii) the merger and cut back of its activities in France and Belgium, iii) the merger of its activities with those of the Swiss group SAIRGROUP in Germany, iv) the centralisation of its British activities to a single site in Rochdale, v) the possible creation, with the Spanish HOTETUR, of a common company covering 18 hotels in this group.
