Accession of Wahabi kingdom to WTO the focus of Lamy-El Faqih talks

Brussels, 14/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - An agreement between the EU and Saudi Arabia on the accession conditions of this country to the WTO is said to be close to hand, according to Mr Pascal Lamy's spokesperson at the close of the talks between the European Commissioner and Saudi Trade Minister Oussama El-Faqih. The Wahabite kingdom is holding similar negotiations with the United States, after having settled them with Canada and Australia. Saudi Arabia seems at present to have the choice of...
