Presenting two new Commission "contributions", Michel Barnier talked of IGC work - Commission maintains all its proposals

Brussels, 14/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - Michel Barnier, Commissioner responsible for Institutional Reform, presented to the press two new "contributions" by the European Commission to the works of the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) and also discussed its work. Mr. Barnier remains relatively optimistic, not only in the sense that he considers that work is progressing in a satisfactory manner, but in the sense that "nothing is certain": everything is still possible ad it would be premature...
