Védrine and Fischer go to Manila to discuss fate of hostages

Manila, 14/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - After the G8 meeting, held in Japan, French Foreign Minister Hubert Védrine and German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer went to Manila, on Thursday, in order to seek solutions with the Philippine authorities for the release of the hostages of several nationalities held on the island of Jolo by the Muslim rebels of the Abu Sayyaf group.
