Signing of financing agreement (EUR 32 million) for a scholarship programme aimed at Chinese students

Brussels, 14/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - Chris Patten, the European Commission for External Relations, and Mr. Shi Guansheng, Chinese Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation, signed a financing agreement for a EUR 32 million scholarship programme aimed at some 2,000 Chinese students.
