Brussels, 12/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - This Wednesday the European Commission approved an additional contribution to the work of the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) on institutional reform, concerning European political parties. It proposes to complement Article 191 of the Treaty by adding an operational paragraph allowing to define the statute of these parties, notably to conditions for their recognition and the rules relating to their financing.
