The Anglo-Dutch group UNILEVER has announced the sale of EBSB - EUROPEAN BAKERY SUPPLIES BUSINESS, its baking business in Europe, to the Dutch company CSM (turnover EUR 2.2 billion for the 1998-99 financial year with 10,700 employed) for the sum of EUR 700 million cash (without taking on debts). The sector made a turnover of EUR 860 million in 1999 and employs 3,900 in 13 countries in Europe.
