12/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission approved the maps for the areas of economic and social restructuring, which are eligible, in Italy, for Objective 2 of the Structural Funds for the 2000-2006 period. In addition EUR 2.1 billion must be allocated in Italy for these areas in which more than 7.4 million inhabitants reside and concerning 13 Italian regions.
