European Commission wants to start new phase of negotiations with Switzerland to fight against organised fraud

Brussels, 12/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will adopt a draft negotiation mandate to the concluding of the bilateral agreement with Bern, aimed at fighting against fraud and other illegal activities that threaten European Union and Swiss financial interests. This draft will be submitted to the Economic and Finance Committee in the autumn, and the negotiations could start before the end of the year.
