Commission proposes to simplify and rationalise organisation of markets in fruit and vegetable sector

Brussels, 12/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission adopted a proposal aiming to modify the Common Market Organisation (CMO) in the fruit and vegetable sector, including processed products and the aid systemfor citrus fruits. This proposal aims a remedying the most urgent problems while awaiting the Commission report that should be presented by the end of the year, on the functioning of the totality of the CMO in this sector.
