ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) small ads

The Canadian small ad publisher TRADER.COM has announced the acquisition of German companies AVIS and REVIER MARKT, specialised in classified advertisements. The move takes the form of a purchase bid on all of the share capital of AVIS VERLAGS GMBH, a holding company that holds 100% of AVIS and REVIER MARKT, the price being fixed at EUR 130 million. Both companies generated, in 1999, a combined turnover of EUR 29 million.
