ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

In order to finance its recent acquisitions, the BSCH - BANCO SANTANDER HISPANO is to issue 345 million new shares. This issue represents EUR 3.5 billion and corresponds to around 8.40% of the capital. This operation brings BSCH stock exchange capitalisation to EUR 46.51 billion.
