Bilateral summit decided for active co-operation for conflict prevention in world and launching of new round of international trade negotiations

Brussels, 28/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - During Monday's summit (see EUROPE of 26/27 June, pages 9/10), the European Union and Canada agreed to include, in an already "privileged" relationship, a joint effort for preventing "violent conflicts" in the world. This relationship, were trade disputes are becoming rarer, was also enriched with strengthened collaboration "in the search for a consensus" on the delicate launching of a "vast and global" round of negotiations within the World Trade...
