Council defines priorities for European road safety policy - Legislative priorities, research, information

Brussels, 28/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the Transports Council adopted a resolution that defines the priorities for European road safety policy, in terms of legislation, research and information. The Ministers supported a Community action programme for the promotion of road safety in the EU 1997-2001," by encouraging the economic analysis of accident costs and called on the European executive to pursue the drafting of six legislative texts.
