European youth forum asks Council to increase budget of Youth action programme

Brussels, 09/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - While celebrating the adoption of the EU's Youth action programme thanks to the agreement between the EP and the Council on its budget (see EUROPE of 2 March, p.14), the European Youth Forum feels that the EUR 520 million granted to the programme for 7 years are not sufficient for its aims and risks upsetting the expectations of the youth.
