ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) subway

ALSTOM (France) has concluded a contract for the supply of 152 wagons with an option on another 148 for the Shanghai subway system. The contract, concluded by SARCO (an ALSTOM subsidiary), JIUSHI (acting for the municipality of Shanghai) and SHANGHAI ELECTRIC CORPORATION, is worth FRF 970 million, with more than three fourths going to ALSTOM.
