Brussels, 09/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission called Belgian authorities into line on Thursday, concerning taxes on satellite dishes. Levied by certain local authorities ("communes"), this tax is seen by the European Executive as an obstacle to the cross-border reception and distribution of television signals and a violation of the free movement of services.
