NORTHPOINT COMMUNICATIONS, who manages the largest broad-band communications network in the United States and the American-Dutch operator VERSATEL joined forces in a 50/50 joint venture called VERSAPOINT. This new company in which each of the partners will invest USD 50 million considers becoming the largest provider of pan-European DSL services.
