According to the French economic daily La Tribune, Belgian businessman Albert Frère is negotiating the acquisition of a share in the French sugar company SAINT LOUIS SUCRE (turnover of EUR 1.14 billion in 1999 with seven sugar plants), 99.7% owned by WORMS & CIE, in which he may acquire up to 49%.
