Mr. Letta informs Commission of the liberalisation of the gas and electricity sectors - Sale of power stations

Brussels, 09/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - Mr Letta, the Italian Minister for Industry, held meetings at the European Commission with President Prodi, Vice-President Mrs de Palacio and Commissioner Monti, to whom he explained the measures that Italy is taking to restructure the gas market and to sell the power stations belonging to ENEL through privatisation.
