09/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The "Fédération française des producteurs d'oléagineux et de protéagineux" (FOP) welcomed the decision by the European Commission not to apply any penalties for exceeding the maximum guaranteed area for oilseeds for the 1999 harvest. The French producers consider this will amount to a payment for surface area that is considerably higher than the previous year.
