‘omnibus’ - MEPs approve provisional agreement on simplification of CSRD and CSDDD directives

11/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – Members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) backed the European Parliament/EU Council provisional agreement reached two days earlier (see EUROPE 13769/1) on the ‘omnibus’ simplification legislative package for the CSRD and CSDDD directives on corporate sustainability and due diligence (15 votes in favour, 8 against and one abstention). The text can now be voted on by the full Parliament on Tuesday 16 December. For their part, the Member States have already given their green light to the agreement, on Wednesday 10 December (see EUROPE 13770/28). (LM)
