11/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 11 December in Brussels, the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the Government of Quebec signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening collaboration on common priorities. Seven priority areas have been identified: - the economy; - culture; - education and youth; - women in politics; - democracy, multi-level governance and citizen participation; - the environment, biodiversity and the fight against climate change; - the energy transition. The agreement, which follows on from a letter of intent of March 2024, establishes a formal framework for cooperation, mainly through collaboration in multilateral contexts, joint initiatives and exchanges of best practice.
