European Commission brings Poland before EU Court of Justice for incorrectly transposing rules on procedural rights

On Thursday, 11 December, the European Commission announced it had decided to bring Poland before the Court of Justice of the European Union for incorrectly transposing the 2013 Directive that defines the minimum rules on the right of access to a lawyer and to communicate in the event of arrest into national law.
