EIB aid in favour of passenger transport by rail through Öresund

Luxembourg, 03/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) is to grant aid of SEK 380 million (EUR 42 million) to finance the acquisition of railway lines for passenger transport via the Öresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden. The beneficiary of the loan is the Swedish region of Skane. The Öresund Bridge between Malmö and Copenhagen, which is 16 km long, was opened in July 2000 and is one of the priority projects of the Trans-European Transport Network (T-TEN). In...
