Microsoft.NET Passport raises legal privacy issues

Brussels, 03/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - following a meeting in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday, EU national privacy controllers, who monitor compliance with the EU's privacy laws, endorsed a document in which they say that further scrutiny of Microsoft's .NET passport system is required to see whether it complies with data protection laws.
