Parliament calls on Member States and candidate countries to develop national quality policy on sexual and reproductive health

Brussels, 03/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption (280 votes to 240 and 28 abstentions) of the report by Belgian Socialist Anne Van Lancker on "sexual and reproductive health and rights", the European Parliament notes that all legislative and or regulatory policy on reproductive health comes under the responsibility of Member States within the framework of subsidiarity.
