Parliament strengthens labelling rules on genetically modified food but avoids upsetting balance

Brussels, 03/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - During the voting on Wednesday, the European Parliament adopted the report of Greek MEP, Antonios Trakatellis (EPP-DE) on traceability and labelling of GMOs and GMO derived products for human and animal consumption, as well as the report by Austrian Socialist Karin Scheele on genetically modified animal feed.
