Mr Rasmussen says Denmark won't join Euro during its Presidency and that he's arranged to stay in Copenhagen for four days during the European Council

Strasbourg, 03/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - Anders Foegh Rasmussen explained on Wednesday to the press, "I can assure you that we will not join the Euro, it is completely impossible, even if I am in favour of joining". The Danish Prime Minister pointed out that they would need a referendum and he was unable to provide a date but explained that opinion polls were demonstrating increasing support for the Euro and that the Danes, "will become more and more acquainted" with the Euro, which was...
