Parliament calls for modification of negotiating brief for free trade agreements presently under negotiation

Brussels, 01/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament called on the Council and the Commission to modify the negotiating brief for the future free trade agreements with the Mercosur and Chile, by adopting on Thursday in plenary session, the reports by the Spanish MEPs Pedro Marset Campos (GUE) on the Mercosur, and Jose Ignacio Salafranca (EPP) on Chile.
