Brussels, 01/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The president of the EP Socialist Group, Enrique Baron, announces that the group has cancelled the visit by a delegation that was to go to Teheran (see EUROPE of 28 February, p .6). Mr Baron explained that the Iranian authorities have given only a very partial response to the wishes expressed by MEPs, mainly concerning contacts with the civil society.
