ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) materials

The French IMERYS (turnover of EUR 2.79 billion forecasted for 2000), specialised in minerals for industry, is preparing to buy from the American HECLA MINING its activities in ceramic clays and feldspath (material used in hygiene manufacturing) for around USD 62.5 million. This sector represents an annual turnover of USD 60 million with 420 employees.
