Thursday's Research Council to discuss realisation of European Research Area and European strategy for space - Signing of agreement with Russia

Brussels, 14/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - At their meeting on 16 November, under the chairmanship of Roger-Gérard Schwartzenberg (France), the ministers for research will discuss the two main topical issues concerning: 1) setting up a European Research and Innovation Area, and 2) defining a new strategy for space. The EU/Russia scientific and technological agreement will be signed on the fringe of this Council session. The agenda, in three points, is as follows:
