ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) brewing

The Canadian brewer MOLSON (annual turnover of more than USD 2 billion) will acquire the beer brand "Bavaria" as well as five bottling plants from the Brazilian COMPANHIA DE BEBIDAS DAS AMERICAS (AMBEV) for around USD 211 million. Around 88 million hectolitres of beer from the "Bavaria" brand are sold each year.
